Suttons Trucks Arncliffe are offering a fantastic opportunity to join the service workshop team. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to work both day and afternoon shift on a rotating roster. This role requires you to perform mechanical diagnosis, repairs, and servicing of a range of heavy vehicles.
About the role
- Heavy diesel vehicle servicing and repair – Isuzu, Kenworth & DAF
- Mechanical and electrical fault-finding and diagnosis
- Complete work orders and inspections of equipment
- Work alongside Isuzu’s #1, #3 and #7 top technicians in Australia
- Complete CitNow videos on all operations you work on
- Work closely with our Pre-Delivery, Parts and Accessory teams
- Maintain a clean organised work area
- Complete all jobs in a timely manner and to the highest of standard
About you
- Trade Qualified Motor Mechanic
- Strong Commitment to safety – No short cuts
- Current NSW driver's licence – Manual operation
- Time management skills and attention to detail
- HR/HC driver's licence preferred
- Examiners licence preferred
- Strong sense of self-motivation and enthusiasm with a high work ethic and 'can do' attitude
- Reliable with a good work ethic
- Attention to detail and strong organisation skills

About the role
- On the road based role, delivering truck parts to suppliers and customers
- Covering Sydney metropolitan areas and occasional regional areas.
- Customer service – building relationships with the businesses you visit
- General administrative tasks – understanding delivery area routes, confirming what has been delivered, communicating any additional order requests advised on site
- Basic assistance to the parts department
- Company vehicle for all travelling *Not to be used for private use
About you
- Automotive Experience Desired but not essential
- Car License required
- A clean driving record
- Confidence driving in Sydney metro and surrounds
- Basic navigation skills
- Understanding of fatigue management
- Strong sense of self-motivation and enthusiasm with a high work ethic and 'can do' attitude
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Reliable with a good work ethic
